Community Kirtan

Kirtan is a call-and-response style song or chant, set to live music where participants either repeat the chant, or reply to the call of the singer. 

At Community Kirtan, anyone is welcome to lead a chant, join in the singing, or just soak in the vibrational energies of these ancient practices.  Bring your friends, your instruments, your voice and your open heart!   The studio has mats, blankets, back-jacks, and a few chairs.  Please join us!  No registration needed, just show up and sing!

We suggest a donation of $10 per person at the event to cover the space rental.  If you are not able to donate this much, come anyway and  donate what you can.

The studio will be open 20 minutes before the starting time of this event.  The studio does not have a designated parking area, however free street parking is available.  On evenings and weekends, you can park across from the studio on the east side of 28th Avenue, but please don't block any garage doors of the Bill Pierre facility.  When the community center is closed there is also some parking available on the south side of the studio building.
